Question: My car was repossessed and I was only 7 days late from the due date which was on the 15th and I have a 10 day grace period, is this a legal repossession? I also had my purse in the car and was not even able to get that out what rights do I have to get my personal belongings. Please help.

Generally, when a car is repossessed, most people are 3 payments behind. However, you may want to review the original contract you signed when you purchased the car to see if you agreed to specific terms. You may also want to review Title 47 of the Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) which is the Uniform Commercial Code.  Chapter 9 deals with secured transactions and Article 6 deals with rights upon default (for example, when a purchaser misses payments).
