Food Stamps, Cash Assistance
questions & answers
Question: Please tell me the income level that must be met to qualify for food assistance.
Answer: Information about the Nutrition Assistance Program can be found on the Arizona Department of Economic Security's website. Because the income amount may be different based on other factors that are taken into consideration, such as the number of dependants and other necessary life expenses, the DES website recommends applying to be sure of elligibility. According to the DES site, an individual may estimate benefits using the website for ArizonaSelfHelp (a different site from this one - AZLawHelp). Be aware that ArizonaSelfHelp only provides an estimate and is not final, an individual must complete the application process as explained on the DES website.
