Question: What is the maximum income level to qualify for food stamps?
Answer:
In Arizona, the Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly called food stamps) is administered through the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES). You can find out more about the program, including the eligibility criteria by going to the DES website. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) determines the maximum amount of income that can be made and still be eligible to receive the Nutrition Assistance Program (NA). The USDA factors an individual’s income, resources, number of dependants and other issues like residency and citizenship. The USDA website, shows the income levels for varying family sizes.
