Question: If I remarry will spouse be responsible for my debt before we where married
Answer: According to A.R.S. 25-215 (http://www.azleg.gov/viewdocument/?docName=http://www.azleg.gov/ars/25/00215.htm) a spouse will only be liable for premarital debt incurred by another spouse if that debt was incurred when the spouse was single for the purpose of benefiting the community. For example, any debt incurred as a result of obtaining a home for both you and your spouse while you were unmarried would still be considered community property and would make your spouse liable for the debt incurred. You may want to consult an attorney for additional information and questions regarding community and separate property.
