questions & answers

Question: Where does one go in Arizona to find a reputable attorney to assist with Medicare problems, more specifically recent denials? I'm told Elder Care Law, but thus far have found no referral source. Thank you

Answer: This article contains information on how to find an attorney. To search for a lawyer practicing a specific area of law, visit the State Bar website, and use the "Advanced Search" function. If you are in Maricopa or Pima Counties, the Maricopa County and Pima County Bar Associations also offer referral services. Contact the Maricopa County Bar referral at 602-257-4434 or the Pima County Bar referral at 520-623-4625. Finally, the Arizona Department of Economic Security has an Aging and Adult Services Division. Their State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) “provides free health benefits counseling service for Medicare beneficiaries and their families or caregivers." This organization is not a lawyer service, and cannot represent a client in court, but they can provide information and help.
