questions & answers

Question: I have a 3 year old son we are both Navajo, I havent seen or been with my sons dad shortly after my son's birth. When I was 7 months pregnant we had a dv issue and I would like to terminate his rights. How do i go about that?

Answer: You say that you and the father are both Navajo.  That means tribal law is involved, and you really need to seek help from someone with knowledge of the ins and outs of tribal domestic relations and paternity law.  I suggest you contact Navajo Nation DNA.  I am directing you to the website: http://www.tribaljustice.org/places/specialized-court-projects/navajo-nation-dna-peoples-legal-services/.
