QUESTIONS

  • My son father lives in Fl and I live in SC. He is asking me to move to FL so he can be closer to his son. Our son 20 mos and has some disability. Is he obligated to pay for moving expenses and helping with household expenses BC he wants us to move. And all my support is in SC. So I'm be carrying the load all by myself.
  • My children's father is a registered sex offender, and was awarded supervised visitation in May 2009. He paid for two visits in July 2009. As of September 25, he has three warrants out for his arrest and is considered an absconder. He is running from authorities. I would like to make the family court aware of the situation and change the supervised visitation that was awarded in May 2009. What steps should I take? How do I Petition the court for a status conference?
  • I paid my deposit to my landlord with 2 money orders. I have receipts from the landlord for both of them. The landlord "lost" one of the money orders. They are now asking me to pay them again for the lost one and for me to file the paperwork myself to see if I can get the money back from the company who issued the original money order. I feel that once it left my possession and they gave me a receipt that it is their responsibility. Can they penalize me for their mistake?
  • I have been married for almost 11 years with 5 children ages 7 and under. I have been a stay at home mother for almost 8 years, have been attending school full time at home for the past 3 years and have plans to continue until I've reached my doctorate, which will take approx another 5 years. I found out my husband is being unfaithful and I want a separation but he won't agree to one, so I'd like a divorce. Is there a way I can get him to leave our home we own while I'm dealing with finding an attorney and filing? He won't be happy/nice if he knows. He won't let me let me leave with the kids.
  • Landlord has given me a 5 day notice to vacate. I want this to be resolved in court as soon as possible. My questions is can the landlord wait more then the 5 days to file with the court? Could he wait to file 2 weeks? Is there a point where the notice is not a valid 5 day notice?
  • I own a home in a mobile home park where there is quite a bit of crime. My home has been broken into as have some of my neighbors. I want to install security bars on the windows to deter another break-in. Can the park prevent me from installing them?
  • My mother-in-law agreed to store my belongings in a shed that I gave her. My husband who I am divorcing took it out of the shed and let it get rained on ruining all my belongings. Is my mother-in-law and my husband responsible
  • Are scholarships considered income? My ex receives a great deal of money from scholarships and 401K cash out but claims that he has no income?
  • I currently have joint custody of my children in which I have them 50% of the time. My ex-wife and I do not agree on which schools our children should attend, and our paperwork states that neither of us can make the final decision. An attorney had told me that if we have tried mediation with conciliation services (which we have tried), then the next step would be to file a motion for school determination. My question is: how do you go about doing that? I do not see forms that seem to pertain to this. Thanks!
  • I am on Arizona Workers' Compensation my surgeon has released me to a pain management doctor. My back has not improved and I have chronic pain half of the day an the other half I am asleep for the medication. I don't want to live this way I want my back injury fixed, what are my options can I ask for another surgeon.
