QUESTIONS

  • Is it possible to have a restraining order or protection order without divulging my home address or place of work. I am getting death threats regarding an my girlfriend's ex who has a history of domestic violence. If he knows this information and knows our whereabouts he will take action against it and has no care in the world for the reprocussion of the law including his own life.
  • Me and my boyfriend got an apartment together; it was $50 more than he wanted to pay. I said I would pay the $50 extra for every month that the apartment cost up front. I gave him $300 up front and told him if we were still together after 6 months I would give him the next 6 months in advance. He kicked me out but won't give me my money back. He says that I'm extorting him for money that belongs to him. I only lived there for one week, paid 1/2 of everything to move in, $25 app fee, $100 deposit, $240 which was half of the first months rent. I am just asking for the $300 back. He says it his & me asking for it back & making him pay it back is extortion. What are my rights?

  • We found out that ants our living in our walls. The property manager say's it is our responsibility to take care of all pest related issues for the mobile home we rent.   • I moved into an apartment complex nearly 6 months ago. 2 months ago they announced they will no longer accept payments at the office and the only choice is to use their online app or pay cash at a local Walmart. This was not in the lease when i signed it. The amount due is already pre applied on the app. 2 months of payments are submitted, no record on my account 2-4 days after the 1st. 3rd payment due, is less and unable to 'edit' for correction. I took screen shots of the process and says paid. No payment due for 27 days. I emailed the office about it.can they charge me fees for the error
  • I just recently moved from California and can’t see to find info on these admin and late fees. I paid a $265 admin fee during application process. After I moved in something went through causing that payment to bounce back. I received a 5 day notice to pay that says my “rent” is late and also assessed a $10 day late fee. 1. Can I be evicted over an admin fee. 2. Is this form correct in stating its “rent” 3. Are these late fees legal and can they evict me over them 4. Can I be evicted over a reversed admin fee?
  • My son asked to move his camper to my home. I adamantly told him NO. He knocked on my door 3 days ago and had moved it on my property while I was sleeping.
