AZLawHelp Privacy Policy Statement

This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for AZLawHelp.org, a project of the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education ("AZFLSE").

Information Collection and Use

AZLawHelp.org is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. AZLawHelp.org collects information from our users at several different points on our Web site. Any personal information gathered is voluntarily submitted and certain information that is generally considered not to be personally identifiable may be disclosed unless otherwise specified by the user. For example, we may include the first name and town or state with any comments. At any time you may request to delete any or all information we have retained from this website by sending an email to [email protected]

Privacy of Children

AZFLSE is committed to protecting the online privacy of children and making the Internet safe for all of our visitors. Other than voluntarily submitted e-mail addresses, AZFLSE does not collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Any e-mail addresses that are collected are used to provide a single inquiry response or pass through message and are not retained after delivering a single response or pass through message. The "Questions," and "Comments" sections do not require at most a first name, age, city and state, which are not considered personally identifiable information. We encourage parents of children under 13 to regularly check and monitor their children's use of e-mail and other activities online. Parents may also consider using parental control tools available from online service providers and software manufacturers. These tools may be used to prevent children from disclosing their name, address, and other personal information online.

Send This To a Friend

If a user elects to use our "Send this to a friend" function, we ask them for the user's and friend's e-mail address. AZLawHelp.org only serves as a pass through service, delivering a link to the requested page to both parties.

Cookies

AZLawHelp.org uses cookies to remember if a user has previously logged in while he/she is on our site. This allows AZLawHelp.org users to avoid logging in multiple times, thereby saving time. Users have the option of disabling or not accepting cookies by changing the preferences on their browsers*. If a user opts not to enable cookies, he/she will still be able to use our Web site, however, he/she might not be able to use the areas of the site that require cookies. No personally identifiable information (email address, name, etc.) is collected with the cookies that we set, and accepting cookies while on the AZLawHelp.org site will not put the user at risk for marketing to other sites.

*Different browsers provide different cookie-settings. With Netscape you can ask the browser to allow, warn you, or completely disable cookies. Internet Explorer has an additional feature where you can specify different settings for different security zones. You can choose to allow Web sites to create cookies for you in your "trusted sites" (like AZLawHelp.org), to warn you before you create them in your local Intranet zone, and to give you an option to never allow them in a "restricted zone." See the "Help" section of your particular browser for more information on working with cookies.

Web Statistics

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use for reporting and sponsorship purposes. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. Information from our visitors is collected via web access logs, scripting languages, email, and html forms. Information collected may include log generated statistics and computer configuration, such as your operating system type, browser type, etc. Information collected is used for reporting statistics, business improvement, account maintenance, and web site improvement.

Sharing

We reserve the right to share aggregated demographic information with our partners, sponsors, and donors. This information is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. We share this information so that we can demonstrate site activity to secure funding to continue providing this site free of charge.

AZFLSE reserves the right to use or disclose any information with your permission or in special circumstances, such as when such disclosure is believed to be necessary to comply with the law or regulations, to protect the integrity of the Site, to fulfill your requests, to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation or an investigation on a matter of public safety, or to respond to claims that any files or data violate the rights of third parties, or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of AZFLSE, its users, or the public. For example, AZFLSE will make such disclosures necessary under the reporting procedures of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Information requested may include demographic information (such as zip code, age level), but no information that can identify any individual person will be collected. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our home page so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, that we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

From time to time, it may be necessary for AZFLSE to revise this Privacy Policy, so we suggest that you check here periodically as you are bound by such revisions. Any changes, however, will not be retroactively applied and will not alter how we handle previously collected information.

QUESTIONS

  • i was given a wavier of consent of guardianship for my son i want to know after i sign it what will be my rights and if i have to pay child support
  • Can I purchase a new car using my husbands income to qualify for the loan without his name being on the loan application ? The dealership is calling it family income and says I can do it. I think it's illegal maybe even fraud and really don't want to do it. Is it illegal for the dealer to encourage me to use his income for my benefit without his knowledge?
  • If a couple is separated and pending completion of a divorce, how may one parent get to see their kids throughout the divorce process if the other parent is denying them access to see the children?
  • We are senior citizens. A bank is offering us a home loan that we assumed was fixed interest-the rate dropped a fraction, even-then I happened to notice an unfamiliar phrase with a tiny checked box-'demand feature'. I looked it up: the bank can demand payment, calling the loan, at any time without giving a reason. It said that some states prohibit that practice. Is Arizona one? Calling the loan could destroy us and force the property into foreclosure.
  • I would like to know the cost of a name change for my child, and i woudl liek to print off the forms to do it myself but the link in the text would not pull up the site. thank you
  • My grandparents live in a 55+ senior living community that adamantly refuses to allow even quiet, inside pets. My grandparents own their trailer. Do they, being the owners of their home, have the right to a quiet pet that lives exclusively indoors? If not, why?
  • Where can I search to find out if the prosecutor subpoenaed witnesses for an upcoming trial? Can I get a copy of the subpoena request? If so, where would I go to get a copy?
  • My ex had 50/50 legal decision making and then left our child with me and moved over 150 miles away. He did not file for a petition for relocation and did not make any attempts to see the child for over a year. Does this constitute as him waiving his rights to the child since he abandoned him for over a year.
  • To whom it may concern; My mom was deported back in 1997-1998. She was charged with a crime prior to that and did 3 years of probation. It was after the 3 years of probation that the U.S. deported my mom. She was punished for 7 years I believe. She is back in the U.S. and I would like to know how to help to get her papers. My brother and I were born here in Arizona U.S. of A. and just don't want our mom to be looking over her shoulder all the time. Someone has informed ICE that she is here and ICE have been looking for her. What action can we take. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, NMP
  • I worked for an AC company and during that time of my employment my AC needed service. They fixed it at a discount price and we agreed that I would make weekly payment until the balance is paid. Well I was terminated before being able to pay off the balance. My question is can they withhold that from my final paycheck? Also they're charging me for a price book that I dont have and some uniforms that were missing but I turned in whatever uniforms I had. Can they withhold that as well?
