  • Why is it that I would be required to notify anyone I have had children with when I change my name?
  • My husband ex spouse is threating to have me and him pay for child support since I am the one who makes the most income will I have to pay child support for his kids?
  • I was convicted of a non dangerous sex offense back in 1984. Was a level 1 till I got convicted of failure to register in 2001. That changed my level 2. I dont understand, since the original crime was non dangerous and the second felony was a technical crime, that now I am dangerous. Is there any hope for any of the non-dangerous sex offenders getting off the registery? This would open time and money to monitor the actual dangerous sex offenders.
  • I am currently married and live in Gila County. My husband has moved out on my 2 children and I 1 week ago, and I have the opportunity to leave the state of Arizona to start over. Can I take my children as long as I put it in writing to him of where I am going and contact information?
  • My roommate flaked out on me and I need to pay a termination fee for the apartment. We are both signed on the lease but I need to know if my roommate is also responsible to split the termination fee and if so, what if my roommate refuses? Will she be responsible for paying her part? The termination fee is four months of rent and I am able to pay two (half) of the overall fee. My landlords said if she won't pay her part, it will be sent to collections and they will also require me to pay the remaining balance if she doesn't.
  • I am 74 & receiving social security benefits. My wife has Parkenson's disease and receives government benefits and she also has a small part time job. I know that acreditor cannot touch benefits given by the federal government but what is the maximum money she can earn from her part time, i.e., $200, $400, whatever in a month's time yet is not subject to being garnished by a creditor? And what is the Arizona law stating this?
  • My property manager who does Not have a real estate license in AZ. has given me a 30 day notice and claims it came from the owner but she refuses to give me any number or way to speak to the owner about what is going on. Do I have a right to speak to the owner since she is claiming he is the one who told her to give me the notice.
  • I am a retired military, retired in 2004 and have been receiving my pension since that date, but I have continued to work and recently due to COVID-19, have been furloughed and have applied for unemployment insurance in Arizona, of which is where my current job is, I cannot find any information about my being able to receive unemployment insurance. My concern pertains to my military pension? I know in Illinois, I still received unemployment, so I am hoping that I will not have an issue here in Arizona as I do still work, but am currently furloughed until June. Thanks.
  • I was convicted of a felony in 1994. This conviction was set aside in 1996. Can an apartment still refuse me because they say I have a felony conviction? I try to explain that the conviction was set aside, but they still will not rent to me. Is that legal, and do I have any recourse?
  • Concerning a Short Sale of Real Property; There are 3 liens. The 3rd lien is a voluntary one for the purchase of a home water purification system. In order to sell the property short, the Bank requires that the 3rd lien agree to be released. The lien holder is unreasonable. They ask for the original $4400 + Back Payments, Interest and Penalties which make the release amount about $10,000. Nothing less is acceptable. The Bank may allow 1 or 2 thousand dollars, no more. Can the 3rd lien be eliminated by an administrative action or through bankruptcy?
