QUESTIONS

  • Orig divorce decree and child support orders were in AZ. I now live in WA state with our child; father remains in AZ. Our child will be 18 next year but will graduate at age 19 from HS. He is deemed disabled. Father and I are in agreement re: extending child support beyond HS through community college and longer, if necessary. We know what to do re: notifying the OCSE that the child will be a full-time student in HS beyond 18. What we don't know how to handle is extending beyond HS. Do we modify existing decree/child support or new petition for this thru Superior Court in Mohave Cty? Thanks.

  • My husband & I are caring for my infant niece due to both her parents being in prison. We filed a "Petition by Non-Parent to Establish Legal Decision-Making in Loco Parentis A.R.S 25-41 (Case # DO201300119) in Cochise County and her monther was served on Feb 13 (she wasn't contesting it). I called the County clerk office to find out what my next step is and they told me they can't tell me what to do.
