QUESTIONS

  • I have had a debt that was disputed, the credit card company kept adding fees and interest until they found we would not pay. It has been 10 years now they are threatning to serve me with a summons, my question is there a statute of limitations. Ten years is very long time to try and find documentation to present in the event of a court hearing. My email address is [email protected] if you could notify me of the results of my question.
  • I was charged with an OUI. My first offense of any crime. I blew a .179, can I qualify for work release?
  • Is a landlord required to pay the water bill on a rental property?
  • Water damage happened to my apartment that was not my fault. My landlord has a restoration company drying out the carpet and other flooring. They are using large fans and water removal machines. I was told that I have to leave the air conditioner and other electricity running for the machines to operate and not overheat. Am I responsible for paying the electric bill during the time that they are making repairs even though I cannot live in the apartment, due to no functioning bathroom and loud machinery? I asked the landlord if he will reimburse me on the electricity and he said,"No!"
  • MY HUSBAND AND I ARE NOT LEGALLY SEPARATED YET BUT I WANT TO DO A QUIT DEED AND GIVE THE HOUSE TO HIM. I CANT AFFORD TO KEEP IT ON MY OWN HOWEVER HE CAN.HOW DO I GO ABOUT DOING THIS
  • While I was with my Mom at her boyfriend's house in CA, my friend and I walked in on them watching porn in the living room. They didn't hear us come in so she doesn't know that I know. I told my Dad and he is trying to decide how to handle this. I want to know (and so does my Dad) if this is reason enough for my Dad to get sole custody. Now they both have joint physical custody. Has a crime been commited and how will the courts view this event? Thank you.
  • Four years ago I was arrested for a misdemeanor NSF check charge. I paid the check, no conviction was entered, the case was dismissed. However, the arrest still appears on my record. Is it possible to get this arrest record expunged? I am applying for a federal job that requires a criminal background check and would love to not have this arrest appear on my record.
  • If my wife takes our kids from our home to live in California and won't let me see or speak to the kids do I have to goto California to pursue custody or can I file in az since we have lived here for 10 years
  • I am 17 can I get a car under my name ?
