  • We received a judgement in out favor in Small Claims and then had a debtors examination that was a no show. How do we collect this debt?
  • i just receive a letter that the bank bought my house im waiting on a eviction letter what is next? do i have to pay the balance on the house?
  • I put a deposit down on an apartment along with an application fee. I was told I was not able to rent the apt. after they ran my application but will not return my security deposit. Can they legally keep my deposit? I understand them charging me the $40.00 for the application fee, but can they keep the $225.00 holding deposit?

  • I am in the process of evicting a roommate. I took it to court, and have to restart the court process because the 5 day eviction notice was not certified mail. She has left all of her things for about three weeks now. At what point am I legally allowed to move her belongings to put another roommate into her old room? And what would I have to do for her property to roll over into my possession, so I can legally remove it from my home or dispose of the items?
  • My roommate flaked out on me and I need to pay a termination fee for the apartment. We are both signed on the lease but I need to know if my roommate is also responsible to split the termination fee and if so, what if my roommate refuses? Will she be responsible for paying her part? The termination fee is four months of rent and I am able to pay two (half) of the overall fee. My landlords said if she won't pay her part, it will be sent to collections and they will also require me to pay the remaining balance if she doesn't.
