QUESTIONS

  • One of my creditors has chosen to sue me to collect a debt. Supposedly a judgement was issued against me, but the paperwork was so confusing, I could not understand it. I do not own a home or a car and my only income is Social Security. The letter from the agency selected by the credit card company says there are various means they can use to collect. My question is, what CAN they do to me? A call to the agency got me nowhere. I am also the sole caregiver for my handicapped mother.
  • Can my landlord decide to require payment online through a 3rd party that was not available at the time the lease was signed? Can I refuse to provide my personal bank information to said 3rd party?
  • I am a retired military, retired in 2004 and have been receiving my pension since that date, but I have continued to work and recently due to COVID-19, have been furloughed and have applied for unemployment insurance in Arizona, of which is where my current job is, I cannot find any information about my being able to receive unemployment insurance. My concern pertains to my military pension? I know in Illinois, I still received unemployment, so I am hoping that I will not have an issue here in Arizona as I do still work, but am currently furloughed until June. Thanks.
  • Hey I live on a small lot and have animals. My dad gave me permission to use the land. I have ten chickens, two ducks, five pigeons, and a pheasant. We have been fighting a lot and he threatens to kill all of the animals, which I have bought or have been given to me. He says that I don't take care of them enough, which I will admit Im not the best at but they have food and water all the time and I do my best. But he threatens to take them from me and kill them every time, which is every time he starts to drink. I don't know if he can because its his land or if he can't take them from me.

  • I've owned my trailer since January 2013. I've had my male dog for over 2 years now and have had no problems until about 3 months ago when our most recent manager told me I have to put up a fence cause my dog is "agressive" when she gets to walk through not around my yard to check my meter. My dog isn't always out on the leash just when he has to go to the bathroom or I'm gonna be gone for a bit. By law can she make me put up a fence after 2 years of not having any problems.
