QUESTIONS

  • We signed a lease saying we were responsible for plumbing issues. We should not have moved there. We’ve had plumbers out so many times and we still have no working toilet or sink. Is there anything we can do at all. I feel like we’re stuck for a year without a bathroom with children and a brand new infant in the home. Any advice?
  • I wanted to know if my ex girlfriend can be arrested for making a her house key fit both my deadbolt lock and doorknob lock. After she had moved out over a year ago ? And even when she lived here she was never given a key to my house by me or my parents. Thank you
  • As a landlord, we only have a verbal lease agreement with our tenants. We are taking them to court for eviction for not paying rent. Our "plaintiff's checklist" lists a copy of the lease, which we don't have. Will our verbal lease agreement be an issue?
  • I recently had to get an Injunction Against Harassment against someone. They set a court date to contest it. I went to court, but the defendant never showed up. The Injunction is still in place. Can the defendant ask for another court date or legally contest it again. They were notified of the court date, since they requested it, so the court labeled them as "did not appear and had notification of the hearing date and time". This has been a very stressful ordeal. I want to know if I can breathe again or if I can expect to have to go to court again if the defendant requests it.
  • I have two boys ages 8 and 11 they are with me 50% of the time and my ex wife their mother the other 50 5 of the time. this was established in the divorce papers. Their mother has a new job theat requires her to work 12 hour night shifts. I have offered to take the boys duing these times and was denied by their mother. I have since requested the names and contact info of the individuals who will be watching them during these times and was denied this information by the mother as well. My question is- What are my rights and what can I do to insure that my boys are properly cared for?

  • The child support payments I pay are garnished through my employer. The monies are paid to a gov't clearing house agency in Phoenix. When I changed jobs and wages began garnishment (eventually) the amount that was garnished was incorrect. I didn't realize and had no part in setting up the garnishment. Now I am being sued for arrears. Who is responsible for submitting the correct garnishment calculations? The court order clearly states the monthly amount to be paid.
