QUESTIONS

  • If I am trying to evict my roommate, do I follow the landlord/tenant directions for an evection, or are there other directions?
  • I’m a college student and was renting a room in a 3 bedroom apartment during the semester. My lease ends June 30th, but with COVID, I was out of work and had to move back home. I haven’t been at the apartment since probably the middle of February. I turned my keys in and gave 60 days notice/ lease termination contract. I can’t file for hardship due to unemployment because my parents are guarantors. I understand I might have to finish paying my rent (leasing agreement) but is there anything I can do since I have not been there in over 4 months? I had to move back home (Flagstaff to Mesa)
  • Upon my mothers death, I inherited her home in a 55+ park. The manager has tried to tell me I cannot stay there because I am only 49. When I pointed out this had been addressed in original contract, she was not happy. Since then, she has spread negative rumors to other tenants, including derogatory remarks regarding my sexual orientation. She has told the security guards that I am not allowed visitors after dark - although no other resident has this restriction. She has opened my mail... What can I do about this?

  • I am not sure if this is the correct category but. Here it goes. I moved into a house with a shared well for 5 properties. One house is not built still. When w moved in we were paying into the well fund. We wanted to see the account and they refused so we stopped paying. We asked the neighbors and they said not to because no one was and when the current well fund was gone we would start a new one. The other three houses lived there for 3 years before us. When the now well fund was started they said we owed back payments for 30 months at 50 a month. I did pay 800 of it
  • I let a person that wanted to buy my motorcycle test ride around the condo complex.. He wrecked it , doing 2,000 damage.. At first he wanted to pay for it now refuses to even pay my deductable .. can I fight this in small claims court without having to turn it into my insurance.. I do not want to take the hit for his damage to my property..

  • My son's biological father pays child support regularly (after being threatened with jail time by a judge) but is completely uninvolved in my son's life - hasn't seen him, talked to him, or asked about him for years. My current husband is an amazing father to my son. I have been researching legal guardianship to give some rights to my current husband since he is the one actively raising my son. What are the benefits/drawbacks to my current husband becoming a legal guardian? Would my ex be released from obligation to pay child support like he would be if my current husband adopted my son?
  • a judgement of default in an eviction special detainer case was granted agaianst me in superior court of az. I filed a motion to set aside the judgement so if i lost i could appeal as ofr you cannot appeal a default judgement the judge denied my motion to set aside can i appeal that decision?
