QUESTIONS

  • I rent a mobile home that has a large front and back yard. My landlord is always on the property and coming over unannounced. I understand I rent from him but how much privacy am I entitled to? The landlord also has a storage shed that sits behind the mobile home. We don't use. The neighbor next door comes over whenever he pleases and uses the storage shed. He says the landlord lets him use it. I feel like I have no privacy whatsoever!
  • My husband and I rented a very small 3 bed room house. Very basic but perfect for us. We’ve had some health issues so our adult grandson has been living with us for about a month. I contacted the owner. He’s raised our rent to 1100 a month. Homes for rent in this area are renting for 800.00 a month. This home was built in the early 70s and is very small under 1000 sq foot. Newer nicer homes are renting for 1100 a month. Much nicer and updated homes. We have never been late on rent and he has raised our rent every year but homes in this older but nice neighborhood are not near worth 1100 ???

  • Husband keeps threatening me to throw me out of marital home. I have been a stay at home mom since the birth of our first son 12 years ago. I have no income or source of support if he forces me out. What can I do to protect myself and my children. He has been hostile to me in front of my boys, upsetting them. I just listen so that he will stop threatening me and upsetting them.
  • The home I rented went into foreclosure and was sold, unbeknownst to me or to the property management company (manager was not the owner). I made 2 rental payments to the management company during the time between the home being sold and us becoming aware of it. I made a CFK agreement with the new owner and requested my deposit, as well as the 2 rental payments back from the manager. They told me to give them a key and they would return my deposit, even though I made it clear I was not moving out. I returned my key and they refused to return my deposit or payments. Do I have any recourse?

What can I do to protect the kids and myself since Arizona tends to want to reunite children and parents. This is not a good idea with either of the biological parents.   • Does an apartment complex have to provide window screens to the top floor apartments. I asked management and they said they would not provide them and also that I was not permitted to buy and install them myself. This is a safety issue as I have an 8 year old daughter and bees and just recently a hawk flew into my apartment. Also, it's a high second floor apartment and the windows go below waist level, so a child can fall out pretty easily. What are my options?
