For 3/6 years, my mom hasn't had a lease agreement, for the house she rents, she's just month to month. Last month (April) she texted the landlord asking to sign a new lease. Landlord said no and to move by the end of the month. One day my mom was asleep and someone came to the house trying to give me service papers for her. I didn't accept them on her behalf, and though she requested redelivery, it never came. Now we've been given writ of restitution, 8 hours to vacate, and 2 weeks to return for our belongings. Did we legally get proper notice to vacate, or can we fight for more time to move?

Im a father my 8 year daughter I want joint pysical custody. I have child support order, I'm been paying every month.mother is not letting see my daughter my pettion is on, waiting for court date. My mothers health has drastically changed and she only lives on social security, a very small disability bi-weekly stipend and has medicare. While my mother has been accepted for medicaid as a secondary insurance, she will have to contribute monthly of $406 so that she will be able to have full time home health care (vs only part time with medicare). This expense will make it impossible to help her pay her credit card debts off. My mother needs to contribute to medicaid but then won't have enough to pay off her debts. What are options as far as her credit cards? Should I close them (with her on the phone) and let them know that she is unable to pay so we'd need a settlement price? Or just walk away? I am unsure of her options as my original plan was to help her pay them off one by one.
