  • I live in apartments and the management is trying to back charge us an increased city tax rate of 2.9% for the past month and going forward. I know the rate is subject to change, but don't they have to give us a 30 day written notice of the change and rent increase? The residential rate here in Glendale is 2.2%, are they legally even able to enforce the higher rate without a tax increase? What kind of actions can I and other residents take?

  • I received a letter from DMV requesting I pay $500.00 for abandonment fee I am 62 yrs old and I am on SSI I let a friend drive my vehicle he was stopped and was not aware he had a suspended license. So they imounded my vehicle and requested about $300.00 for impounds and storage I did not have the money I am on a fixed income I ended up loosing my truck and now they DMV to pay $500.00 for abandonment fee I could lose my license if I dont pay it Could you help me I heard their is some type of waiver I could get if I am low income and go to court
  • I request that the light outside my apartment be repaired on January 11, 2019, then again on March 11, 2019, and again today March 15, 2019. According to my lease all light fixtures inside my apartment and in common areas will be repaired by the leasing agency. Currently, there are no lights at near the stairwell, my apartment is at the top of, to provide safe lighting. I keep getting the "we need to order fixtures" as the reason that it is taking so long to repair this item. What course of action can I take to either fix the lights or be released from my lease?
