  • Apartment has had leaks for years so stated. I moved in Dec. 2011. Leaks have been never ending when it does rain. Mgmt. company is likely to be fed up with me in complaints, and ask me to move. Is there anything to be done this side of making it worse for both of us?
  • We are senior citizens. A bank is offering us a home loan that we assumed was fixed interest-the rate dropped a fraction, even-then I happened to notice an unfamiliar phrase with a tiny checked box-'demand feature'. I looked it up: the bank can demand payment, calling the loan, at any time without giving a reason. It said that some states prohibit that practice. Is Arizona one? Calling the loan could destroy us and force the property into foreclosure.
  • I am a condo owner, I live in the unit and rent out my 2nd bedroom to someone. We have a lease, and we have also been working under the agreement that we switch off paying for things that we share, for example paper towels, light bulbs in the common areas, etc. However, she is now refusing to purchase a new furnace filter, saying that is a 'maintenance item' and is my responsibility. I think this falls under the 'damages due to negligence' clause in the lease. I plan to take the cost of the filters out of her last month's rent and her lease-end date be moved up accordingly. Is that legal?
  • I am a single mom. I live in Yavapai County. I had to be air lifted to Phoenix at 23 weeks pregnant and gave birth to my 1 lb. daughter. She has been in the hospital in phoenix since birth on January 29, 2013. I want to file for child support but someone told me I have to wait until she is 6 months old because she has to live in Yavapai county (her home)for 6 months. Since she has only lived at the hospital in Maricopa county. What do I do?
