  • i am renting a home in casa grande az, my question is prior to moving in to the home it was listed on our rental agreement to turn on utilities before keys to the home were issued. i turned on all utilities except putting sewer and trash in my name because i never have had to before in any rental i had. now my rental manager wants me to put the bill in my name and pay back payments due for a total of four months. can the company do that? and they want to tack the fee on my rent which already is 1150 a month.
  • Our landlord has decided to upgrade/renovate all apartments and says we have to move into another apartment either temporarily or permanently (our choice). This will cause inconvenience, time, energy, and money since some of us will need help moving furniture. Must they pay moving expenses, move our belongings for us, or compensate in any way? Can we terminate our lease (mine is up in a couple of months) because we are forced to move all of our belongings out? I'm thinking if I have to move everything out anyway, that perhaps I should just move altogether. The apartments are in good shape.... nothing wrong with them. What are my rights?   • We gave a roommate 30-day verbal notice that his month-to-month lease was up. If he doesn't leave could his drinking binges (including driving on a suspended license, with no insurance), and belligerent, vaguely threatening but scary behavior be enough to get an immediate eviction started? He will go into the kitchen falling down drunk when everyone else is asleep, and I'm afraid he could start a fire, by accident or on purpose.   • We live in a senior residence (my partner is 58) and they have a "chiller" system, in addition, they pay all utilities. Tonight (at approximately 9:30pm) we returned to our 2nd floor apartment which had risen to 80 degrees F (from 75). We both suffer from allergies which makes opening windows problematic (I have an inhaler as well) as well as hypertension. My blood pressure elevated from the hot temperature. I know at some point they change from an A/C based system to a heating system. What are our rights in this situation?
