  • My husband is POA for his mother, 90 yrs with dementia. She has a bank acct with approx $200Kin a major bank. Approx 6 weeks ago, after submitting the POA to their legal dept we were advised not to withdraw/close the acct as a transaction that large could be questionable and "raise a flag". Today we returned to the bank to withdraw $5K to cover her expenses. They said that they did not have the POA on file and need to submit to legal again. A note on the acct from Feb 2016 states that she (MIL) wants to make sure 'nobody' can touch her money. As such, the bank now DECLINED the POA. Can they?
  • I am 17 years old, currently 7 months away from being 18. My parents do not want me visiting my boyfriend who lives about 15 miles away from me on the weekends. I am determined to walk that distance every weekend and back, but never stay the night. My mother wants to forcibly keep me from going. I would never miss school if I did this. Can she call the police and make them drag me back to the house?

  • We line in a 55+community and each year the palms are trimmed and we have to pay for them, I was told most mobilhome parks don't charge the tenent in AZ for palm trimming, but get charged every year. We pay rent on a space, is it our responsibility to pay for them or should the park owner pay ? The rent goes up each year, and we still have to pay for their palms to be trimmed. Is there a law that the owner should be paying for these? Thank you
  • I am a divorced father of two children. I provide insurance on my kids and the ex provides medicaid on them. Recently she chose a Dr that doesn't accept medicaid. Who will be resposible for paying the balance owed? My insurance is court ordered.
  • My mother was served papers from the other Grandparent. I was never served since I don't live there anymore. The grandparent filed for grandparent rights and according to Family Court Case Information - Case History it says "DEFAULT/REGARDING PETITION FOR GRANDPARENT VISITATION". I was never served and just found out about it today. There were summons in May. What do I do now? I don't want it to go into default and her get what she wants.
