  • I am a disabled female residing in an apt. complex which has been in poor condition since I moved in over 2 yrs. ago. Repairs are RARELY made and I now have a mice, termite, tick, and either a chigger or bedbug infestation which is a MAJOR health issue and an emotional one as well. I've asked the landlord for assistance as I am on SSDI and live month to month. Despite ALL my efforts, she continues to ignore me. Isn't it the Realty company's responsibility to assist with an exterminator? PLEASE HELP ME!

  • I had a one year lease. I had a clause put in stating that. At the end of lease we had the option to extend the lease with no rent increase for 6 months if paid in advance. I excercised that right. Gave letter and check(6 months rent). They tried to make me sign a new lease for one year at a large rental increase. I refused. Now my 6 month lease is up in 2 weeks. Recieved letter stating, I owe $600.00 plus late charges for last months rent. I have a contract. They sent me eviction for nonpayment five day letter. What do I do? I have to pay rent what amount?
  • I have an ongoing problem in my duplex with a black widow infestation. when we first moved in we had to kill many black widows that were in the backyard with a hammer. The next summer they returned, this time also in the garage and a bedroom closet. I notified the landlord and she provided us with store-bought insect spray for us to use ourselves. I used the spray and a few months later they have returned again. I am very concerned about being bit as well as the safety of my dogs. Since the store-bought spray didn't work doesn't it fall to the landlord to provide pest control? Esp. Safety wise

They are refusing to let me do open houses, or have people come in and see the home. They said no one can enter not even when there home! My realtor has called them and ask to do showings when there home, and they refuse. I feel like there hiding something. Please help!
  • I was convicted of a felony in 1994. This conviction was set aside in 1996. Can an apartment still refuse me because they say I have a felony conviction? I try to explain that the conviction was set aside, but they still will not rent to me. Is that legal, and do I have any recourse?
