QUESTIONS

  • My HOA billed me for fence painting that was done before I owned my house. Am I liable for paying for work done before I owned the property?
  • My son is 5 years old. I have sole custody. I read the self service paperwork and it says I have to notify the other parent or show "order terminating parental rights of the other parent." Is my divorce decree showing sole custody good enough? I know sole custody gives me the right to make decisions for my children even if my ex does not agree.
  • I was informed of trustee sale to take place 06/2008 on my home in Florence, AZ. My Husband and I decided it was best to vacate the home with our family before the sale. We filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in 2011 and included the home and HOA. We received a letter from an attorney, suing us for HOA dues, post bankruptcy. Wouldn't it already be considered foreclosed from the notified date of sale, even if it was postponed?
  • We moved into a home in Nov. 2014. With a 2 year lease. The owner recently told us he is selling the house but that whoever buys it will have to honor the duration of the lease. Is this true?
  • If I was married when I adopted my daughter and I was the only one to sign the papers that day because my husband had to work, does my husband have any legal rights to our daughter?
  • What can I do if I feel my 9 year old is not being properly cared for in the other parent's home that I currently share joint custody with? For example, most recently the other parent left our child at a nearby apartment complex pool with another 9 year old completely alone and unsupervised or accompanied by any other adult (the kids were the only ones there) for over an hour while the other parent allegedly walked to a gas station to purchase alcohol. My child also complains that the other parent is using drugs in front of him. Is this considered neglect and what are my options?
  • My boyfriend of 2 years and I had our daughter in December 2015. He is the biological father and signed the birth certificate in the hospital and acknowledgment of paternity. My baby also has his last name and not mine on the birth certificate. Unfortunately we no longer want to be together. My question is can I get full custody of my daughter even though she has his last name on the birth certificate? Do I have any rights as her mother if he tries to fight for her too?
  • The police poated my pic.and car and lisc, pkate numbet on there facebook and now is allover town, about suspicious behavior ,with no probale cause is that legal
  • Is it required to file for child support? I filed for divorce and my ex and I are in agreement on everything, neither of us wants child support or spousal support and we filed a Maritial Settlement Agreement stating that neither of us is seeking Child support but when I am filling out the final decree it seems as though it is requiring me to also do the child support order and child support worksheet.
  • I moved out of this apartment complex 4 years ago. Never recieved any letters, e-mails, or phone calls regarding famages or fees. So I assumed there wasnt any. I left that apartment spotless and was om a good credit agreement where I paid a small non refundable deposit apposed to a larger refundable one. Here we are 4 years later after I recieve an e-mail stating I owe them money! This is their first contact with me since I moved out. Can they still hold me accountable after all this time? I feel as though they are just trying to scam me for money.
