Legal Services for Crime Victims in Arizona (LSCVA) Profile

LSCVA’s mission is to provide free legal representation in criminal cases to victims of crime in Arizona, with priority to victims of domestic violence and sexual violence. LSCVA asserts and seeks enforcement of crime victims’ rights and provides social services to facilitate healing in the aftermath of crime. Services are free to crime victims. LSCVA is a virtual office; attorneys and advocates travel to the jurisdiction of the victim's case.

  • My son went to court and got my restraining order against him dismissed. I went to court and got a copy of the proof of service which was signed by his fiancée. She never served me. Is it legal for her to serve me?
  • I am planning to leave my partner, who is verbally and sometimes physically abusive. We live together with our 4 year old daughter. If I take my daughter to live somewhere else (in state) would it be considered kidnapping? I plan on getting an emergency order of protection the following day as soon as the court opens. I want to make sure I am not breaking any law by removing her from her home.

I successfully completed the diversion program and now my case is dismissed. Am I eligible for my case to be expunged? I am asking for the reason of wanting to join The Arizona National Guard. I have a recruiter saying he is wanting to work with me but the current case dismissed will not help. He says I need my case expunged
  • I purchased a couch that we picked up and the box had damage to it which was noted on the invoice. 130 miles round trip. Couch weights 211 pounds. Couch is defective. We wanted them to pick up the couch and bring one that works properly. She said that she will not deliver to Arizona. So either we would like our money back and they come pick up their couch or they bring us the new couch and pick up the defective item how do we stand legally to get them to do this?
