QUESTIONS

  • I was homeless w/ a puppy & offered home in exchange for cleaning and lawn svcs. he bills owners for. Owner would text, call, & pop in daily. I got a p/t job to earn cash. When I wasn’t there he gave me one day to get out due to lack of communication. I painted patio, garage, shelves, trimmed trees and shrubs, planted flowers, cleaned all units regularly, & complied. I did good work because his clients sent me reviews & he got paid! Can he do that or can I stay until I find a place?
  • Three roommates and I rent a home. Owner lives out of the country and when in town he enters without warning. Last time he stayed 3 months and pressured me into moving out of the master bedroom so he could use it. I pay my rent and it was a huge problem moving all my furniture and belongings downstairs to a tiny bedroom. He uses our wireless internet and pays nothing toward utilities. I live in constant fear he can return and disrupt our lives again. Can an owner enter with no warning and live in home.Can he force me to vacate master room again. He implied I would be given notice if I didn't.
  • Purchased 2 timeshares in late 90's, which worked well for family at the time and both are paid off in full and current with fees. Life changes, health changes, it no longer works.   • My landlord got a judgement against me for unpaid rent in October. I paid the amount in full as stated in the court document by the date stated in the court document. The day I paid was Nov. 2. Now my rent is late for November. He told me if I paid it by the 15th of Nov. He would only charge me a $75 late fee instead of the $15 a day after the 5th he usually charges. I called him on the 15th I didn't have all of the rent. He is now telling me I have 2 days to get out.Does he have to do the eviction process all over again for November's rent?
