If when signing the plea the judge states "I will allow the felony to be set aside." After completing probation I was denied. The felony is Agg. Assault and I know that violent crimes are not eligible to be set aside. But I feel there should be accountability. What are the options?

My Husband’s Brother (14) is going to come live with us, He currently lives in CO w/ Mother in an unsettling environment (alcoholism, neglect, severe verbal abuse, “No one will take u because no one loves you. You’re worthless. Etc” We know said Mother will not provide any monetary support and will continue to cash his SS as his legal guardian. After 6 months in these circumstances will we have grounds to petition for legal custody on grounds of abandonment? And is there any legal loop hole that will grant us the ability to file for custody IN AZ prior to 6 months?

So my apartment doesn't have heat and I have a little baby. This morning it was cold so I decided to turn on the heat and then I noticed there isn't any heat. Talked to thr neighbors and they said none of the apartments did. Is it the apartments responsibility to have a heater in the apartment? It's getting colder and I worry about my baby.

Do I have legal grounds to request that I don't pay my last month's rent at my apartment because of the state of the AC? My AC started leaking so bad that I had to remove the cover from the ceiling, which had been so rusted, that it was dripping out of the rust holes. I found that the condensation pan has a tear that was patched with caulking and it's not even aligned properly! It's an inch thick of rust and it looks as if the air filter has never been changed, so that is why it froze and is now leaking.

My mothers health has drastically changed and she only lives on social security, a very small disability bi-weekly stipend and has medicare. While my mother has been accepted for medicaid as a secondary insurance, she will have to contribute monthly of $406 so that she will be able to have full time home health care (vs only part time with medicare). This expense will make it impossible to help her pay her credit card debts off. My mother needs to contribute to medicaid but then won't have enough to pay off her debts. What are options as far as her credit cards? Should I close them (with her on the phone) and let them know that she is unable to pay so we'd need a settlement price? Or just walk away? I am unsure of her options as my original plan was to help her pay them off one by one.

Am I still responsible for my rent if the house is unlivable due to a fire? Does the landlords insurance cover the rent? Would my rental insurance cover the rent?
