I had a brief relationship with my neighbors son, beginning May 2016-June 2016, and I let him remain in my apartment until recent. We had a verbal agreement that we would split the 3 main bills, rent, electric and cable/internet, fifty fifty. I gave him a receipt for the months of June 2016-January 2017, he got the original and I have the carbon copy in an actual receipt book. I told my ex that he has until the end of February to find another place to live because he is no longer able to pay his share of the bills because they cut his SSI. Can I kick him out without going to court?

My father passed away 1/16/2015. His is the only name on his home's deed. There is a reverse mortgage on the house and what is currently owed on the mortgage is more than the house is worth. My name is not on the deed and I don't plan on going to probate to get control of the house. The mortgage company is starting foreclosure. My question: is the estate, and me personally as the executor of the will, legally obligated maintain the homeowners insurance policy until the house is sold at the foreclosure auction which could take 1 to 2 years?

I am a landlord with a Phoenix rental condo. As a result of plumbing work done by the HOA in the wall between my unit and another, a minor flood was caused resulting in water damage to the floor and some of my tenants items. I am dealing with my insurance company to do repairs. In the meantime, my tenant has decided to withhold rent (for 2 months now). Is this allowed under the law?
