  • My daughter and my 2 grandkids reside in an apartment. This morning about 2 am, water leaked into the electrical system in her building. Causing the power to go out in several units. The landlord said it will be at least a week before it is fixed. What is the landlords duty and responsibilities. To my daughter & grandkids living arrangements. The divorce decree that is on record has a date listed as the final date or last payment to be payed through January 31, 2019. Do I need to fill any additional closure documents or just send the last payment when due? It is not withheld from my paycheck. I write the check. Not sure if I need to file anything or if they get it per the decree.

  • This is our 2nd year of renting in a Phoenix apartment building. Over the past few months the smell of marijuana or some kind of drugs is consuming our apartment, through the a/c vents. On a daily basis, our family has headaches and we are concerned for our 18 month grandchild. Our lease ends in 8 months and cannot deal with this for that long. What rights do we have and is it legal for us to break our lease without action taken against us?
