QUESTIONS

  • We are senior citizens. A bank is offering us a home loan that we assumed was fixed interest-the rate dropped a fraction, even-then I happened to notice an unfamiliar phrase with a tiny checked box-'demand feature'. I looked it up: the bank can demand payment, calling the loan, at any time without giving a reason. It said that some states prohibit that practice. Is Arizona one? Calling the loan could destroy us and force the property into foreclosure.
  • we got pulled over my boyfriend had a warrant. He was driving my truck. The police got in and moved my truck to public land it was on private property..So they could impound it. Was that legal they did not ask me if they could move my truck. Should they of left truck where it was?

Their insurance paid me very little but did pay 5 grand for my totaled truck worth about 15 grand. I only had liability and their lawyers letter states they are suing me personally since my insurance wont help cover anything. He had no injuries at all at the accident, walked around waiting for police, talking on his cell. He went to the doctor 2 days later according to his lawyer. Can I really be liable for 28 grand? Do I need lawyer?
  • When a spouse passes away and has debt in his/her name only, like credit cards, and or contractual obligations for satellite services or cell phone service that charge fee for early termination, etc.- is the remaining spouse responsble for that debt and fulfilling contractual obligation?
  • The ownership of the mobile home park is requiring that I pay to repair a sewage line attached to my mobile home that has deteriorated over the years due to no fault of my own. Is this legal, since I own only the mobile home and not the lot it sits on.
