QUESTIONS

  • Me and my ex wife have shared custody of our six year old daughter for the past 5 and half years. My ex wife now wants to move from chandler to queen creek, changing my daughters school to the queen creek area. I stated this was not fair because my drive would increase to 15 extra miles per trip, adding more drive time during my visitation days. Is this a fair assumption on my part? If we go to court what should I expect from a judge's descision?
  • I have been listed as custodial parent for our daughter since our divorce in 2010. At the time of divorce my ex husband wasn't employed but it was listed in the decree that he was to pay 100% for all health insurances including dental and vision and was responsible for 50% of all non covered medical expenses as well. From Jan 2011-March 2018 he failed to pay any of these obligations. We have a court ordered child support in place now but his self employed income hasn't been filed according to his then attorney since 2016. How will the court determine his income?
  • I have a court date for arraignment for a misdemeanor, If I don't plead guilty can the prosecution change the charges?

  • My sister in law recently asked my husband (her brother) to adopt her baby, the baby is due in January. She is willing to sign over parental right. She has not been able to get in contact with the father of the baby since she informed him of the pregnancy. He told her he does not want anything to do with the baby. Do we have to his written consent to proceed with the adoption? Is there a legal way to contact him to get the form signed?

  • July of this year my ex-husband passed away and I am executor of his will. I have got a estimate of his mobile home and property. I am the one who is to receive any of his property. My question is do I have to put the property and mobile home in my name as I do not intend to keep it. It is completely paid for. The reason I ask this question is that I am on disability and have no intention to live there due to my health because the place is about 5 miles out in the country. If I put it in my name will it have effect on the benefits I get from disability and the state. Please let me know as soon as someone gets to answer this.
  • We have custody of two of our neices and feel that we should adopt them. We had them for a year and helped the mother get off drugs and returned them to her for a time. We found them in a hotel with her and older man and another girl. The adults were high and the little girls were filthy dirty and asleep. We brought them home and have had them again for 4 months. They are 4 and 3. We feel that we should adopt them and raise them. What do we do to accomplish this?
