  • I have a walmart discover card that even if i pay the minimum payment, they will tack on a late fee then add the balance and fees together to get the interest payment. My card was over the limit and I did pay that amount, yet they still added another late fee. They have charged over 200 dollars in fees. This is b/s, they get me one way or the other. Seems like double dipping to me.

  • I recently had to get an Injunction Against Harassment against someone. They set a court date to contest it. I went to court, but the defendant never showed up. The Injunction is still in place. Can the defendant ask for another court date or legally contest it again. They were notified of the court date, since they requested it, so the court labeled them as "did not appear and had notification of the hearing date and time". This has been a very stressful ordeal. I want to know if I can breathe again or if I can expect to have to go to court again if the defendant requests it.
  • My 24yr old step son has been living with his father and I for 3 years . He pays no bills , or contributed in any way . • Does a California judgment creditor HAVE to file the judgment in Arizona to garnish my wages here in AZ? The law I found ARS 12-1702 uses the phrase “may be filed in the office of the clerk of any superior court”. It doesn’t say where it says they must. If they must and have not what would be my next step in stopping the garnishment? Thank you
  • We had a vehicle repossessed recently and there is an outstanding balance. What are the laws on garnishment? If we try to work with them and they won't accept what we can afford; do they have to accept any payment that we can afford to send them or do they have the right to garnish our paychecks? Thank you!
  • In the dot com recession, my IT job disappeared. I had to refinance my home. My son signed the new mortgage because I needed his income to qualify. I have since wished he could be removed but couldn't refi because property values fell. Now my job has once again disappeared and I am facing foreclosure. I am applying for assistance thru SaveYourHome. My mortgage counselor tells me that I would easily qualify except for the co-signer. In the past 2 yrs, my son has gone thru a BK & lay-off. He's been at his new job 9 months makes $13 per hour. I've heard about Quit Claim deeds. Can he be removed?
