QUESTIONS

  • I applied at an apartment complex and they told me I needed to pay a holding fee so they can hold the apartment for me. All I did qawas sign the application and told them i would bring tye holding fee another day so they gave me another form stating all of the fees I was to pay at move in. (You sign that AFTER you pay the holding fee). So a couple days later I went in and cancelled my application and now they're sending me to collection for that holding fee. I asked to be shown the policy on that and all they showed me was a paper saying the amount and next to it "non-refundable".

  • My property management company called me yesterday and informed me that I need to go to court for an eviction today.? I NEVER received any summon in the mail and was never severed. I made a partial payment($600 as opposed to the 668 rent amount) via our tenant portal last Friday with a prepaid debit card. My property management company told me yesterday that it hasn t posted even tho I confirmed with the prepaid company yesterday and the tenant portal shows it s cleared. Will a judge grant the eviction?
  • I rent an apart. in Chandler. a neighbor leaves cat food out on the sidewalk 2 feed stray cats. I talked to the manager and she says there is nothing she can do.The issue now is there is a roach and ant infestation do2 the cat food.my son turned out2 be allergic to roach bites &has fallen down and hit his head when he step on the food.there are even roaches on my bed at night when we r sleeping. Unfortunately I did not seek legal counsel when I received the initial papers and wrote my response stating I did not believe I was the father. I did not pay the filing fee of $231 so they denied my statement. Where do I go from here? I live out of state.
  • My son is enrolled and attending Kindergarten near my home. Fathers now wants to change his school for first grade for 2017-2018. I feel our son will be established in this school with classmates etc he knows. I dont think it would be in the best interest to change schools to a half way point like fathers wants. And my daughter will be attending preschool at the school as well next year and their daycare is also down the street from school and they pick up and drop off children.   • we are currently listed as owner's to a mortgage but signed transfer of property- deed papers to an investor of whom we have been making monthly payments to. We have been informed by the mortgage that our payments have not been submitted and that we will soon be in foreclosure. What can we do? This investor promised to assume the mortage as well as the property but really only filed tranfer of property and continues to collect our money, of which has been steady each month.

  • I have joint custody of my son and have been divorced for several years now. My question is do I need his mother’s permission to travel out of the country to go visit some family. The trip would be only a few hours. I have read the decree and no where does it say travels are limited to domestic and all I must do is inform her of any travel plans.
