I sent a maintenance request to my property management to fix my broken AC on Sunday. It's now Thurs. They are waiting for the owner to respond to getting a brand new AC unit. Am I entitled to have my rent pro-rated for the time it was broke after advising them as a tenant? What amount of time do they have to fix the problem before I can legally act?

Four people in household. One roommate has a severe drinking problem that is a safety concern (mostly because they tend to stumble into things) that is becoming expensive. The rest of us have told them repeatedly to stop drinking and not bring alcohol into the household, and they're doing it anyway. All four of us are on the lease, and all four of us contribute to bills and rent. What are our options for removing our roommate who won't stop drinking, and does anyone have suggestions for some kind of service we can send them to for professional help?

We began renting a place in Feb. It was advertised as having both a swamp cooler and A/C, which is one of the reasons we chose this particular place. When they came to set-up the swamp cooler it was discovered it needs to be replaced. But now they are telling us that they will not replace it because we have A/C. Are they required to fix it?

I made a huge mistake by cosigning on a car loan for a girlfriend back on 09/15/08. She only made 9 payments on the vehicle then let it go back to the bank. It’s been almost 6-1/2 years since she made her last payment and now they’re coming after me, after all these years have gone by. Therefore I can't afford to pay theses people. I had an initial pre-trial conference on 10/8/15 and represented myself because I can’t afford an attorney. It was determined that there will be a trial on 12/14/15. I told the loan company in court “that I have no money and living on $2,400 per month and living with my daughter to make ends meet, and they’re still pursuing the trial date. My questions are: 1) Will the Arizona Statute of Limitations A.R.S. § 47-2725 four (4) years get me out of this mess completely? 2) I've been told and read online that Social Security income and Pensions “cannot be garnished”. Do you know if this is true? If it's true then I have nothing to worry about and won't need to file bankruptcy. 3) If I lose my case can I file bankruptcy on a judgement that's been awarded against me? 4) Can they levy / garnish my checking account where my Social Security checks and Pension checks are electronically deposited? I am a 28 year old disabled man with a service dog and I live with 3 roommates whom I do not get along with. One of them (my ex) has threatened to kick me to the streets even though I have done nothing to warrant this. Can my roommates kick me out if I am on the lease?
