  • My brother is the Trustee of our deceased Mother's estate. I have asked him on several occasions to give me copies of various documents and he has failed to do so. I have very little information regarding the Trust or the financial distributions. How can I get copies of those documents? He has since sold the house that our mother left to both of us but I have seen no money from that sale. He still refuses to give me any information. What can I do?
  • My girlfriend and I allowed her brother (a 300lb man) to crash with us after he got evicted. After about 2 1/2 weeks we realized this was a terrible idea and told him he needed to leave. He packed most of his things and left but took some things that didn't belong to him. Upon him returning for the last if his stuff, we told him he was not allowed to enter the premises and we would bring him his stuff. He got mad and tried to force his way into the house and my girlfriend fought him off. She got arrested for"hitting" him. Isn't this still a form of self defense considering he doesn't live here
  • I was divorced 05/19/16. Part of the settlement was I got the marital home (w/no mortgage). I allowed my ex to stay in the marital home and share household expenses. I now want to sell the house. Do I have to evict him? He homesteads another property and gets no mail at marital residence.
  • My daughters biological father has not seen her in over 18 months and has not reached out at all. He lives in New Jersey. My husband has been in her life and a full time dad for over 2 years. How would we go about terminating parental rights if the biological father is not on the birth certificate and has not been involved with her at all? My husband would love to adopt her, but I don’t know how to go about it.

I received a phone call today telling me the apartment will no be available because the current renter has decided not to move. I have less than two weeks to find alternative housing is this legal?
  • My apartment is partially furnished, a bed. The bed is used and very uncomfortable. The mattress is old. What can I do to get a new bed? Is it legal for my landlord to keep used mattresses in his units? Also, he says that if I buy a new mattress, I have to leave it there when I move out. The lease stipulates that I cannot remove or modify the existing furniture. So can he do this ?
  • Okay everyone I have a question where downtown can I go to establish my parental rights over my 2 year old son,so his father could never take him from me. My son's father has been in prison for over a year a d 3 months and now h3 is out and trying to give me a schedule on how we should share our son and I feel with his drug use and past I don't feel comfortable with agreeing with him on his schedule besides I believe since I have been raising and providing for my son his entire life I should have the say of how the schedule should be.
