  • i lived in home and left due to domestic violence. the property manger recieved my order of protection and allowed me to vacate. 6 years later my check is being garnished for unpaid rent and attorney fees. they got a judgement from the court and a collection agency is who garnished my check. i have to pay over 4000 dollars. I thought since domestic vioelnece i was able to leave according to 33-318.
  • I put a deposit down on a rental and upon getting the keyes for 12 hours, was allergic to the house-I. I never signed the lease. I informed the owner in writing that I could not live there, and never signed the lease. He is keeping my deposit and saying it is binding because I took the key. Can I get my deposit back if I never signed the lease? He sent me a counter offer to the lease asking for more rent and deposits, and it was never executed.
  • I received a notice from the IRS saying that they will levy my Social Security check for non-payment of taxes. I am 70 years old. My only source of income is Social Security of $1798 per month. I have no assets. I live in an Assisted Living facility which I pay room and board of $1649 from SocSec and ALTCS benefits pay the balance. I am left with $109 per month for personal needs. Can the IRS levy 15% of my Soc Sec? How do I stop this levy?

  • Hello. My ex husband and I were not married nor was he around and in the picture when our son was born so I gave our son my last name. My son is going on 8 years old and my ex wants to change his last name to his.   • The downstairs neighbor keeps complaining to us & the office that we are making loud noises at night. We continually tell them its not us. We told the complaining neighbor to call the police or on-site security next time so there will be an 3rd party witness. She didn’t. She came up and complained to us again and we told her everyone but 1 person was sleeping and to call the on-site security. She went to the office and complained. Each time she complains they call/contact us as if we are guilty even though we aren’t. At what point does it become harassment by both accusing parties?

Two months later they received an offer on their home and now want a refund or partial refund of the rent. They are telling me that it's against the law that I rerent the space once they leave unless they sign a release allowing me to do so. Am I able to rent the space once they leave without refunding them?
