QUESTIONS

  • Can a landlord require the carpets to be cleaned by an approved vendors list? Secondly, can the use your deposit to pay for the second cleaning, even though the first company cleaned them very well?
  • I gave my 30 day notice on April 1st stating that I would not be renewing my lease at the end of May. I also informed the office that I'm moving out on May 8th but I'm paying rent for the whole month of May. I requested a move out inspection Friday May 8th after I take all my belongings out. I was told by the Secretary that the manager does move out inspections when he feels like it. I am unable to return for a move out inspection because I am starting a job in another town. My question is from what date do I begin counting the 14 days for my security deposit to be returned?
  • I live in a rental home. The A/C went out, the owner was notified, as well as management company, it's been 6 days and still not fixed. I went and purchased on day 2, 3 fans and a portable A/C unit, I have lost alot of fruits, pantry items too! We need help filing our documents with the courts with all the necessary paper work the first time minimizing travel for health reasons

  • I was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct over a year ago. At the time I was threatened by the size of the male standing over and blocking me although he did not verbally say he was going to hurt me. I have a settlement conference soon and my lawyer has said that a plea will necessarily include at least a year of jail time and I would not get off for self-defense if this goes to trial since he did not verbally threaten me. I am pregnant and due to deliver before the settlement conference. Does this plea offer seem reasonable?
