QUESTIONS

  • My mother recently tried to punch me and when she did so I blocked it and pushed her off of me, she says that I am legally obliged to let her discipline me as my parent, is this true?
  • I and my daughter have not seen my husband in 5 years. She is 6. He was abusive but never arrested because he was good at abusing without leaving marks and lying. He has taken steps to hide his whereabouts and stated that if he had to pay child support he would take custody. I have been with my current fiancé for about 3 years and he would like to adopt her. Can he do that before the divorce?
  • how can I find out if an order of protection was served?
  • I was charged with an Assault 3 months ago. Will it ever be taken off of my record?
  • My daughter(12yo)and I are survivors of Domestic Violence. I was awarded sole custody of my daughter. For the past 3&1/2 years my ex-husband has continued to violate our parenting plan. He continously blames me for his choices and his daughter as well. Last week he blantently violated the parenting plan by leaving my daughter at our apt's alone. Our parnenting plan states specifically we are required to exchnge her at McDonalds at 7pm. What legal recourse do I have?
  • I recently went through a child custody hearing. In the judges ruling, he claimed that I was convicted of Domestic Violence and that I was abusing te legal system by reporting Domestic violence by my ex. I have never been charged but my ex has been 12 times with 5 convictions and 5 other charges dismissed as part of plea agreements. Do I have any recourse against the judge?
  • I want to get my stuff from my ex boyfriends house but he won't let me can the police help me?
  • the filer of an order of protection against me.violated it by contacting me. what do the rules say about that
