  • My roommate left a month ago to go back East to visit family. When he left as far as I knew he had every intention of returning. I have not heard from him in 3 weeks now. He is not returning my calls. He left his car in my garage & other personal items. I own the house & he rented a room. How long do I have to wait to get rid of his stuff? Also, what do I do with his car?
  • Hello: My mother died recenty. As her son am I obligated to pay her outstand bills? The day she passed a bill arrived from the emergency service that took to the hospital. Also she received a bill for medical expenses from her stay in the critical care unit at the hospital where she died. There are other bills that have been received. I just need to know if legally these have to be paid. Thank you for your help. Rick

We considered them as parents and they have called us their kids.They loaned us money for a down payment.At the time I was their POA .We advised them we didn't know when or if we would be able to pay then back.Dont worry about it..It is going to be yours.To make a long story short she broke her hip we cared for her and her husband for 3 months.Now they have turned on us and want their money.They have lawyer involved.What are my options?
  • Signed a lease agreement a few weeks ago to an apartment sight unseen due to current resident. Today, my wife and i received keys to the new apt. Immediately found a roach infestation. In every room and every corner, black and german roaches coming out of the walls. Not one thing has been moved in yet and we were in the apt for about3 minutes. Can we legally terminate and/or nullify this lease pre move in, due to health concerns with our newborn? I have video of the roaches crawling everywhere.
  • I'm trying to help my mom get food stamps and cash assistance. She is age 56 and gets 480 dollars a month for retirement benefits. However; she has no car and doesn't work. She lives in a trailer. Her bills cost more than what she earns each month. So, I pay the remainder for her. My question is; does she qualify for food stamps and cash assistance without having to work a job at this point? She has no GED and has raised 8 kids and is now divorced. She gets half of her ex husbands retirement, and that's it. I would appreciate any help? I sent in her paperwork by fax.

I think this has to be a special action motion. If the case was in Superior Court, never appealed, where do I file the Special Action, can I use the civil courts to do this ? I am seeking damages based on public records law, does that limit me to superior court only?
