  • All of my move out discussions have been verbal, with a start date of Saturday 2/11. Are the written letters absolutely required to pursue violated law by the landlord?
  • I cheated on my husband and now i'm pregnant. My husband & I are fixing things and decided we do not want a DNA test for father paternity. The person who I had an affair with was also with someone else- he preferred abortion to solve "the problem" I refused- he stood with his 10 long year girlfriend and did not tell her anything. 1 Month later & now he is interested because his girlfriend found out and will leave him only if they child is his. He did not want anything to do with this child i refuse to DNA unless ordered through court. Want to see if its possible for him to give up his rights.

  • My apartment lease will be expiring in a few months and the new lease that has been proposed includes a new payment for a percentage of the common area utilities. The calculation is based on the total utility bill for the common areas then breaks down by square footage and number of occupants of each apartment. The monthly charges will fluctuate from month to moth as the common area charges change. My questions are is this legal? Aren't we already paying for the common area utilities by paying rent? Would this not be consider a double dip? Please advise. Thank you, Kathleen Ingram
  • My sister in law came to stay with us from CA because we didn't want her to be homeless....we allowed her to stay here so that she could have time to get a job and find a place for herself. She is not on the lease and doesn't pay rent nor has there ever been rent spoken of because this was supposed to be temporary. She did have her mail forwarded to herself her. Since moving in we have found out she is actively using street drugs and is not making efforts to help herself and has become increasingly hostile and verbally abusive. Can she still be removed as a guest...the police said no. Help.

  • Can a landlord, as part of the lease, require the tenant to agree to only require 12 hours entry notice? Our new lease includes a provision that acknowledges the appropriate section of the ARS, but does not mention the 'two days' requirement. Quoted here... "Tenant agrees that Landlord, its agents and contractors, shall have the right to enter into the leased premises, or any portion thereof, upon twelve (12) hours oral or written notice to Tenant, for the purpose of inspecting the same or performing such repairs or maintenance as the Landlord deems reasonably necessary.
