Child Support

questions & answers

Question: My daughters father is in jail for a non child support related offense. His payments have been little to none for months and the last 3 weeks I have been getting a very small portion of his unemployment. It hasn't been adding up to what he is to pay each month. My question being- if a bond is posted does that automatically get put towards his unpaid child support? And if its not automatically shuffled toward it what are the options I have to make it so, if any?

Answer: The Arizona Department of Economic Security’s Child Support Enforcement division has information concerning child support payments.  Contact them by visiting their website or calling their Customer Service line at (602) 252-4045 and asking for your local Child Support Enforcement Office.
