QUESTIONS

  • I have a home that my son is living in. No lease. He hasn't paid rent or utilities and I'm paying everything. I have been telling him to move, but he won't. What can I do to make him move?
  • It is time to renew my lease and a Bed Bug Addendum was added. It has harsh provisions for tenent payment of treatment expenses, even being responsible for adjacent units, even if you did not cause the infestation. The AZ law states you can be charged only if you fail to report. Is this Addendum legal. If I refuse to sign it can I legally be denyed the right to renew my lease? If I do sign it to renew the lease, will it hold up in court? Can you point me toward a lawyer in the Phoenix area who has experience with this? Thank you!

Can an employer withhold and deny paying earned commissions and if so, how long. Are they subject to any penalties or fines for will fully with holding earned commission? What can I do?
  • There was a fire in an apartment above me 5 weeks ago. There is no work being done yet. Can I get out of my lease without any penalties?

My lease asks for a 60 day notice, this just happened no way for me to give a notice. Also my lease is up September 9. I read that it's AZ state law, that if a tenant feels unsafe they may leave. I am moving because I literally can't sleep because my car was broken into and I have a small child.
