QUESTIONS

  • I applied at an apartment complex and they told me I needed to pay a holding fee so they can hold the apartment for me. All I did qawas sign the application and told them i would bring tye holding fee another day so they gave me another form stating all of the fees I was to pay at move in. (You sign that AFTER you pay the holding fee). So a couple days later I went in and cancelled my application and now they're sending me to collection for that holding fee. I asked to be shown the policy on that and all they showed me was a paper saying the amount and next to it "non-refundable".
  • My roommate left a month ago to go back East to visit family. When he left as far as I knew he had every intention of returning. I have not heard from him in 3 weeks now. He is not returning my calls. He left his car in my garage & other personal items. I own the house & he rented a room. How long do I have to wait to get rid of his stuff?   • I was charged with(DV) but my ex-spouse called the district attorneys office and told them that I never hurt her or had physical contact with her... I keep telling the courts "why am i being charged with a crime if there's no victim, & the so-called victim called the DA's office to inform them about that there was no assult...   • My house was foreclosed on me without my knowledge. On January 4th a lawyers office put a package with my options to continue renting or to relocate. But I never received a letter or option to short sale, apply for HAMP, or notice of the sale. They obviously have my address, but no notice or options. Where can I find a way to get my house back? I found something online about the "right of redemption" and I'm completely upset and confused as to why I wasn't given any option or notification of sale. Please help. Any resources on "right of redemption" or a legal way to get them to stop?
  • my kids father file for coustody in 2008 and has had my kids since then, the case was dismissed because he did not continue the propper filling f paperwork. i have been in and out of prision in the passed years but i have no contact with my kids or there father since 2008. i would like to know what legal process i would have to go through to see my kids and possibly have coustody? also is coustody even possible for me to obtain being that he has had them for the past 3years? and being that i have a criminal record?
