  • I have had my grand daughter since september 2015 and now her mom is wanting her back in June, how do I go about getting guardianship of my grand daughter, my daughter does not live in this state and at the moment she is living with friends, she also has 4 other kids who are constantly being taken out of school and moved around at the moment none of the kids are in school, I really don't want to send her back, she is autistic with other disabilities and is doing good here although we have our moments and she is in counseling, I don't even know if I even have a chance to gain guardianship.
  • This property is advertised as a gated community. Little did I know, the front has NOT been locked since I moved last Jan 2018. This is caused many young homeless to walk of the street onto the property, steal, climb our fenced in pool--with their clothes on and break in to use our laundry room to sleep. (Several of the residents have complained several times!) All because the front entry foot gates are not locked.
  • My son is 5 years old. I have sole custody. I read the self service paperwork and it says I have to notify the other parent or show "order terminating parental rights of the other parent." Is my divorce decree showing sole custody good enough? I know sole custody gives me the right to make decisions for my children even if my ex does not agree.
  • My wife is an adopted child, does that give my mother in law any rights? We currently have a 17 mo. old child together and are getting the finalization of a nasty divorce. The woman dislikes me and I feel she will negatively inflence my daughter.
  • I own my trailer but rent the space. The owner of the park passed away and we were left alone for a few months. Rent checks were returned and it was chaos. I received a certified letter saying I have not paid rent for 4 months, when I know I have. I have proof for 1 of those months, but cannot find the others. The office is open for 3 hours a day while I'm at work, so I stick it in the outside mailbox that is locked. Other tenants have received the same notice and said they also paid. Some tenants are also suing the park for abandonment. What can I do to prevent paying rent twice? Thank you
  • I paid my deposit to my landlord with 2 money orders. I have receipts from the landlord for both of them. The landlord "lost" one of the money orders. They are now asking me to pay them again for the lost one and for me to file the paperwork myself to see if I can get the money back from the company who issued the original money order. I feel that once it left my possession and they gave me a receipt that it is their responsibility. Can they penalize me for their mistake?

  • I've lived at an extended stay motel for about 2 years. Last September my cooler went out and my landlord has been saying since then that he will get it fixed by the time hot weather is back. It's now almost 100 degrees here and it still isn't fixed. My landlord acts like he has no responsibility because it's a motel but I'm wondering what I can legally do to remedy this.
  • My child's father was granted full custody and support in march of 2004, my son has been in my physical custody sense may of 2004. that's 11 years no support, his father never contacted the court to let them know his situation changed. What can we do?
  • landlord last month told all residents of the park that we are going to have to make rent payments online. they have set it up through a company called "PayLease" and are planning to make an addendum to current lease and all future tenants will also be required to pay online. a fee will be charged if tenants want to pay by check or cash. is there anything we can do?
