Instead of sending rent directly to him, my landlord has had me mail my rent as deposits straight to his bank. I have been using automatic bill pay through my bank, so it's been a hands off process for all involved. He just hit me with a five day notice to pay or vacate, claiming he is owed $11,000+ since April of last year! Is there anything in the law that protects a tenant from a landlord claiming non-receipt of payment months later if my payments in fact were lost and cashed by a 3rd party as it seems to be in this case? My mother is 85 and being treated by a naturopathic doctor. My sister and I are concerned that the care she is getting is harming her overall health. We have contacted the Naturopathic Physician Medical Board to file a complaint. They are willing to move forward and subpoena her medical records for review. The problem is that they say there is no way to keep this physician from mentioning it to our mother. We feel that our mother puts an abnormal amount of "faith" in this physician and that she has been, for lack of a better word, "brainwashed" into believing that he can do no harm. We want to proceed without fear that he will convince my mother that we are "the bad guys." What do we need to do to proceed without fear that he will discuss this with our mother? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Am I responsible for my husband's credit card debt? He is the primary person on the account. The credit card company closed the account when they were notified of his passing. There is no money to pay the bill, so am I still responsible for this debt?

what steps can a father take when his ex which is the mother of his baby decides she wants to end the relationship n leave the baby with him? And then decides two days later she wants the baby back and calls the police? Does he have to give the baby back? this is the second time the mother has done this so is it abandoment?
