  • My sister is in prison for the next year. She shared custody of her 2 children with the father. My parents who my sister and kids are living with have been keeping and taking care of them. Now the father filed for full custody. Do my parents have any rights to apply for legal guardianship? What can we do so we can still have the kids every 3 days?
  • Summary: My landlord sent me a notice to vacate from the residence using a text message. Is a text message a legally binding notice to vacate? Full: I have been a tenant for 4 years at the residence. My lease expired July 13, 2018. We did not renew the lease this year, so I've been paying month-to-month. I got a new out of state job and scheduled the movers for July 13. She suddenly sent me a text message on May 30 to vacate by July 1. She did not give me notice that she was looking for a new tenant. I have never been late or delinquent on rent payment. What are my legal options?

  • I am going to take my children to San Diego for a couple of days. Do I have to ask their mother/ for permission. We reside in AZ and we have joint legal custody but I am the primary custodian with her visitations only being every other weekend and tuesdays and thursdays 3.30pm-7.30pm. This trip will not interfere with her visitation nor does it say anywhere on the decree about vacations Her visitation schedule does not change during breaks either. It is same all year round.   • My daughter recently move to tucson to attend college. The apt complex was supposedly wifi ready, but the previous tenant in her unit apparently damaged the wiring to the point of a very costly repair, which the complex manager told her `they did the best they could', but it would cost too much to fix, and basically, tough luck. She now has to rely on using data (expensive!) and they are not offering to cover that cost. If the other units in the complex have access to this service, isnt she legally entitle to it as well?
