QUESTIONS

  • Hi, I am trying to get my security deposit back after two months since moving out, and I am preparing for a small claims court case. My question is: Can I use text messages in the small claims court case to provide documentation of what the other party said to me and to also help establish a timeline of events? If so, how should I go about doing this (bring the phone, print out the text messages from my phone, etc.)? Thanks!

  • With our state on stay at home order due to the pandemic are we still having to provide our child for visitations even if it would mean the child would travel to another city and be more exposed as a result? • I received an eviction notice on my door at 8pm, after returning home from work, on November 25th. The court date is set for Dec.1st. This gave me no time to request off from work. The only 2 business days are Friday and Monday. They sent me a 5 day notice certified mail, but the part I am supposed to sign is already removed. This has happened before. I have received this before the same way. My question is what to do about my court date when I am already scheduled to work on the 1st. Is it legal to allow 2 business days before receiving eviction papers and court date?

Our previous visit at the legal office on post verified whether or not the ex spouse is entitled to any percentage of his retirement. The information given to us is that she is not entitled to any retirement when it occurs due to haven been married in Puerto Rico. We just want to confirm is this is certain? Thank you
  • My mother recently passed away & she had a live in boyfriend. Everything was left to us like her house & I was wondering how we go about having her boyfriend move out? What should we do? We have all the legal documents stating her house is now our house but have no idea what to do about getting him out. How does eviction work when he's got no rights to the house or anything else?
