My husband & I have legal guardianship of our two grandsons, aged 14 & 15. Our 14 year old has requested to live with his mother, who is also in Tucson. This will be ok with us, however we don't know exactly how to proceed. His father has physical custody,mom has joint custody. His dad has indicated that he does not want him. What is the legal proceedure to turn custody over to his mom?

I need help. My question is where can I apply for divorce and custody for my kids. The mom has a drinking problem and does not take care of my kids. She drinks constantly and leaves them alone unsupervised when I'm at work. The mom has 3 DUIs that I know.

My mothers health has drastically changed and she only lives on social security, a very small disability bi-weekly stipend and has medicare. While my mother has been accepted for medicaid as a secondary insurance, she will have to contribute monthly of $406 so that she will be able to have full time home health care (vs only part time with medicare). This expense will make it impossible to help her pay her credit card debts off. My mother needs to contribute to medicaid but then won't have enough to pay off her debts. What are options as far as her credit cards? Should I close them (with her on the phone) and let them know that she is unable to pay so we'd need a settlement price? Or just walk away? I am unsure of her options as my original plan was to help her pay them off one by one.

If an undesignated felony 6 is dropped to a misdemeanor; is that person still considered a felon? Are they still required to report a felony conviction or can they legally state they are not a felon? What are the benefits of getting a felony dropped to a misdemeanor? I understand the expungement and set aside concepts but if a background check still shows a felony even though it was dropped to a misdemeanor and set aside what do we have to do to get it to show accurately and display the conviction as a misdemeanor? Whats the point if getting it dropped and set aside if it shows a felony?

I was arrested in August for marijuana possession. I was with a group and we were detained while the officer questioned us. We were not read our rights and I told the officer the joint was mine to eliminate my friend from getting into trouble. I was taken to the police station and was held for a few hours but they never read me my rights. I was then realeased to go home. I have since moved back to California and am trying to find out what is going to happen. There is no case filed and the court told me not to worry about it but the police said they have a year to file. What can I do?

I have a decree from Colorado stating that my Ex-Husband is responsible for certain debts. Creditors are coming after me for the debts because he didn't pay them and 1 creditor is suing me, I answered the complaint and they filed a motion for a judgement and I have to answer in 10 days. Am I responsible for debt that was ordered under the decree to be paid by my Ex?
