QUESTIONS

  • I bought a house back when the housing market boomed and at the time had a decent job that can pay for the mortgage. A year and a half later my contract ended for the job and now can't afford the mortgage. I am wondering if it's possible to do a short sale with a good amount of savings in the bank? I have 2 mortgages with 2 different lenders. I just don't want to deplete my lifetime savings before I do a short sale. I haven't missed a payment.
  • My landlord is refusing to accept my rent payment. Her "agents" (son and Daughter in Law) have given me until the end of the month to move by verbal notice and are indicating they intend to "lock me out" on th 1st of March. They have altered the rental agreement but not in writing. What remedy might I have should I come home to find the locks changed? I have reviewed the LTA and do not see anything regarding refusing to accept the rent payment. I am aware that written notice to vacate must be given. I am not refusing or unable to pay the rent as required.
  • I filed a motion for relief of judgement regarding the acknowledgement of paternity(after the 60 day period) and the judge said I need a proper petition filed before the court can take action. what petition do I need? • I am currently looking for a home to rent and have a profile on a housing site. I recently inquired about a rental home. The homeowner contacted me and asked me a series of questions. She then text me how I afford rent and utilities on Long Term Disability and also stated she is worried that my boyfriend who would be on the lease works out of town. My question is are they allowed to profile you like that. Clearly I wouldn't inquire in the home if we could not afford it. She asked if I was aware of the rental price and I expressed we pay more now where we live. She set a showing and now ignores my call
