  • I signed a lease for an apt in a dog friendly neighborhood. My upstairs neighbor works at night and sleeps during the day. She claims she can hear my dogs barking insessently all day long. Careful monitoring proves that they may bark at a sound like the rest of the dogs in the complex and the world. Nothing to prove her claim of excessive barking she does not own a dog. Am I able to terminate my lease? Is this discrimination since I am the only one who is being kept to a different standard?
  • If I rented a home from someone and that person is not the owner and the police keeps thteating to arrest me what should I do
  • I was arrested an charged with assault. It was all based on a lie that my ex-gf told the police. My lawyer proved the lie and the charges were dropped. I spent 4 days in jail, lost my job, and spent over $10000 in legal fees. PPD won't go back and charge her. She has little money, but I want some justice. I was thinking about small claims court since I can do that on my own. Does that court handle pain and suffering claims?

The landlord put me in a hotel for 8 days and then said i will have to find somewhere else to stay because the issue would take 2 months and the unit would be uninhabitable. She wants to return my rent for a prorated amount for the 8 days i was in a hotel.
